Kick-Off🏈Quote for your Work Week!

“Any man can be by your side on the sunny days. The real test of character is whether or not he will hold the umbrella over you during the stormy days.” -James Michael Sama
What a great reminder!!  Choose wisely when it comes to partners/relationships. You only get one life!!

Kick-Off🏈Quote for your Work Week!

“I had a tight grip on hope until with wise eyes I looked at the other end of this particular “hope rope” and saw that it was attached to nothing. Then and only then was I able to let go.” -Angela Burnett
If “hope” in some area or aspect of your life is unwarranted; let go. It’s certainly not worth your time and thoughts anymore. Have a great week.

Kick-Off🏈Quote for your Work Week!

“Change is the end result of all true learning.”  ~Leo Buscaglia
I had a psych professor that made us read a lot of Leo Buscaglia’s works on love. I was hooked.  This quote reminds me of another quote, “When we know better, we do better.” We are all learning!  Have a great week!

Farewell...for awhile!

Sorry to my loyal readers. This daily blog is one resolution I can’t  keep up with...I’m physically and emotionally exhausted right now.  I always try to do what I say I’ll do; It’s the type A personality in me. But... Life Plan A (A is for awful, right?!?) didn’t quite work out the way I planned and dreamed so I am working on Life Plan B (B is for better, right?!?)  I will continue to post weekly kick off quotes and the new list each Monday, but am taking a break from blogging. I will probably drop down to monthly blogs for now. Can’t guarantee they’ll even be worth reading!  It’s what I must do to heal myself at this time. My hope is to eventually go back to daily blogging.  For those of you who like deadlines like I do. I promise to post on March 2 which is Dr. Seuss‘s birthday. Isn’t that just like a teacher?
Enjoy your month and wish me well as I wish you well!

Kick-Off🏈Quote for your Work Week!

You can’t control everything. Sometimes you just need to relax and have faith that things will work out. Let go a little and just let life happen.”  ~Kody Keplinger
Love this quote even knowing how hard it is to let go.  Try today...  Let go; Let God!

List the things (from your past and present) that feel like blockades in the way of happiness

My Face Shouts “Grandma” and I’m okay with that!

I feel young. I act young, I’m active!  Then, I look in the mirror and remember I’m not actually young. I’m 51 and already have so many wrinkles and lines on my face it looks like a road map! I don’t care!   My Face Shouts “Grandma” and I’m okay with that! My face shows a lot..worries, life trials, tears shed, heartbreak and age!  It also shows laughter, surprise and time well spent. These are the lines I choose to focus on.
I look like a grandma and guess what?  I am one!  I wouldn’t change that for the world. She is the best kid!  So  adorable, fun, smart and full of life. I doubt she cares about my wrinkles at all. Well, not in a negative way; once she used her finger to follow the lines on my face! Giggling the entire time. Ha! She’s probably thinking, “ Look at grammy’s lines...isn’t she wise?!?”

My grandma face shows wisdom.
Thanks time!

My “go-to” Girls!

I have a lot of friends. I take pride in that and try to take care of my friends. I have one friend in particular that can make friends anywhere/anytime. Once she made some “elevator” friends on a mini trip we took when our kids were little!  She thinks I’m like that, too.  But here’s the thing. There are friends and there are my go-to girls!  These are the friends I hold most dear. More precious to me than any tangible item in the world. We look after one another, put each other up and go after the jugular of anyone who tries to hurt the other. That’s true friendship. Some of these friends I don’t see often but the real and true friendship remains. We can pick up where we left off even if 7-10 Years has passed. This, my friends, is rare!  Hold these people dear! Also, don’t be afraid to cut loose a fly by night friend that would trash talk you any chance they get. That is not who you need on your team. Sometimes these friends are hard to recognize. Their expertise in “two-facidness” i…

It’s Groundhog Day!

As long as the movie Groundhog Day has been out it’s been tradition to watch it on the day! This year I feel like my life is like the movie. Everyday I wake up to the same ol’ stuff hoping it will be the next day but it’s not.  Hopefully that will all change soon. Here’s to Andie McDowell finally falling for me! Ha! Until then this will be my mantra...
“Only I am responsible for my happiness!”
